Frequently Asked  Questions

Updated EARLY MAY 04

On these pages I will attempt to answer any questions players may have regarding 40Kin40Min. These FAQs are unofficial and in no way are compulsory. If you don't like them or agree with them, then you are, of course, at liberty to use them or not. Or send me comments

The first is not a FAQ, so much as the example from the article to illustrate the point about army list modifications.

In the Imperial Guard Codex an Armoured Fist squad is a troop selection which must be usually attached to a infantry platoon. It seems quite reasonable to have an Armoured Fist squad as a patrol unit, so they are able to be selected as an independent unit.

For answers to any of the following questions just click on them!

I haven't taken an HQ choice, who should lead my patrol?

Why did you limit armour values to 33 all round?

I have a Necron army and the only HQ available is the Necron Lord with 3 Wounds. What can I do?

What about Eldar – they only get 2 HQ choices – and both have 3 wounds! Do you just make them 2 wound models and subtract 15 points?

Why do you allow ordnance armed vehicles? They don't seem very patrol like!

Can I make changes to the standard lists e.g. arm tactical marines with storm bolters?

Do patrols that are 'Fearless' or 'Leadershipless' have to make the 50% bottle roll?

Can I have a Black Templars army, the codex says I must take the Emporer's Champion, what should I do?

I have something in my army list that I think I can use to my advantage when it comes to making the bottle roll. Can I use it? Avoid making the test? Avoid losing the game? etc

Why can't I take my Falcon Grav tank or Wave Serpent, they are troop carriers after all? (see FAQ2)

Can I use the Infiltrator Special Rule?
