Why did you limit armour values to 33 all round?

How to limit armour was a difficult problem. I felt that the use of vehicles needed to be limited, as patrols are not made up of tanks and other heavy vehicles. 33 Armour Value seemed to be the best choice. With the exception of Eldar Wave Serpents and Falcons, all other troop transporters are permitted. APC's should definitely be part of a patrol's make up. However if Armour values permitted Wave Serpents, then it would also let dreadnoughts and tanks like Predators in.

There are a number of solutions to this dilemma: Firstly, TOUGH! go with the rules, that has always been part of the game, and players will always find something to moan about. Secondly, IGNORE IT! These are only suggestions, not official rules if you want to change them to suit your style of play then go ahead, it's your hobby after all. Thirdly, make a slight alteration to the offending profile: for example reduce the Wave Serpent's side armour by 1 to 11, thus making it's armour 33. Reduce the cost of the vehicle, by say 10 or 15 points to compensate for the reduction in protection.
