Welcome to the 'Spirit Of The Game' website dedicated to patrol combat in the 41st Millennium. This site is an unofficial website for enthusiasts of short form Warhammer 40000.
PATROL CLASH SITE UPDATE Well many of you may agree, it is high time this site received an update. PATROLCLASH still gets over 5000 hits a month so I have decided to revamp this site. This version of the site will remain available while I redesign it to bring it up to date in style with the other SOTG sites. It's over four years since I wrote the original set of rules and if nothing else most of the codexes have changed (not my Ork one yet though, watchout for new greenskins this year though! I hope.) If you would like your patrol to feature on the new look site then send it to me, with some notes and reasonable pictures and I will endeavour to publish them. (SORRY BUT,NO PICS NO POSTING!) I cannot guarantee to post everything on this site, it is not always practical and I do have limited time and space. Sometimes suggestions do not always fall within what we believe is 'The Spirit of the Game.' However this does not mean you should not continue to use your ideas, after all it's your hobby too. GW have created their own pages to support 40k in 40 minutes. Many of you may have come from there. You can get downloads of the original White Dwarf articles there. Check it out!
